Our Officers

Tami Newell, President

Tami Newell serves as our President. Originally from Union County, Tami moved to Anson County in 2005 and joined ACHOH Board of Directors in 2021. Having worked in the corporate technology field for many years, Tami brings organizational and management experience to our board. She is also on the Tourism Board and co-chair of the Uptown Wadesboro Board.

Susan Hallman, Vice President

Wadesboro native Susan Walters Hallman is a graduate of Bowman High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

Susan has a deep love for Anson County and the residents that live here. With her background in psychology, she is able to support and lead our participants to excel in our program, as they learn skills to prevent homelessness in the future.

Betty Huntley, Treasurer

Betty L. Huntley serves as our Treasurer and is the Executive Director of the Wadesboro Housing Authority (WHA), where she wears many hats. She implements HUD. Policies and is the Secretary to the WHA Board of Commissioners.

Donnie Lewis, Secretary

Donnie Kendall Lewis, a native of Anson County, is the daughter of the late Julia M. Kendall of Ansonville, North Carolina. Ms. Lewis is employed with the Anson County School system as a bus driver for over 35 years and retired from Hampton B. Allen Library after 15 years of service as a Children’s Librarian.
